MOTÖRHEAD Help Launch Las Vegas Rainbow Bar & Grill: Photos Available

April 6, 2005

ABC ePrep is reporting that members of MOTÖRHEAD were on hand Tuesday (April 5) for a press conference announcing the opening of a Las Vegas location for the Sunset Strip's famed Rainbow Bar & Grill. Jason Bonham (UFO) and DEF LEPPARD drummer Rick Allen were supposed to attend the event as well, but Bonham had to deal with the fact that his equipment for his upcoming tour was shipped to the wrong airport, and Allen reportedly got stuck at the Los Angeles airport due to a delay at security. Check out pictures from the press conference at Film Magic.

The Rainbow will be located across the street from the Hard Rock Casino, but is promising that it will cater to musicians and local residents as much as tourists. One room will be an exact replica of the original location, while another will include a small stage for bands to perform.

The Las Vegas Rainbow Bar and Grill will open Memorial Day Weekend, with both VH1 and the BBC planning to cover the opening.
